The ski season on the Kitzsteinhorn begins as early as October, offering reliable snow conditions. On the Maiskogel and Lechnerberg, skiing usually starts in December, depending on the weather and snowfall.

Yes. Kaprun is ideal for beginners: gentle practice slopes at the Lechnerberg, wide and easy runs on the Maiskogel, and a safe beginner area in the kids’ ski park provide perfect conditions for learning.

Depending on your fitness level, just a few days of skiing or a ski course are usually enough to get into shape. For better endurance, light training at home before your ski holiday is recommended.

Do advanced skiers also ski in areas other than Lechnerberg?
Yes, advanced courses at Ski Dome Oberschneider do not take place exclusively at Lechnerberg. For advanced children, the meeting point from Tuesday onwards is, for example, at 10:00 a.m. at the Maiskogel mid-station. Adult advanced courses generally meet at 11:00 a.m. at Ski Dome 2 (Glacier).

In bad weather, the ski instructors of Ski Dome Oberschneider adapt the program to ensure that safety and enjoyment remain guaranteed. This may include changing locations or adjusting the lessons accordingly.

At our Kaprun ski school, beginners often make their first confident turns after just two days. With a multi-day ski course, speed, technique and safety improve noticeably.

Kinder können ab 3–4 Jahren im BOBOs Kinderland erste Erfahrungen sammeln. Aber auch Erwachsene profitieren in jedem Alter von einem Skikurs in Kaprun.

Zum Treffpunkt Lechnerber nein, bei allen anderen Treffpunkten ja.

For beginner courses at Ski Dome Oberschneider, entry is usually limited to Sundays or Mondays, as courses start on these days.

If you would like to join later during the week, we recommend contacting the ski school directly, as an individual solution may be possible.

For intermediate and advanced groups, joining during the week is possible:

  Adults: Monday or Tuesday 

No, the ski pass is not included in the lesson price. However, children under the age of 6 receive a free lift pass from the lift company.
